Oh Splat It's A Trap...

Hello My Smitten's

Oh Splat It's A Trap...

Today I have a beauty.  When I saw this I knew I had to have it because it reminds me so much of my favorite polish of the year (I'll get to that later).  China Glaze's It's A Trap - Eze! from the Cirque Du Soleil Collection.

It is a white base full of colorful hex glittery goodness!

I love it!

I have a comparison, China Glaze's It's A Trap - Eze! and KB Shimmer's Oh Splat!

So this is Oh Splat! I must say my favorite polish of year!!! Yeah, I know that is a heavy statement but I am pretty sure I mean it.  I love, love, love Oh Splat!

Here they are side by side.  It's A Trap - Eze is on the pinky and ring finger and Oh Splat is on the pointer and middle fingers (below).

If you look at these too quickly you might think that they are identical but they aren't!  It's A Trap - Eze (ring finger below) is packed to the brim with colorful hex glitter.  It comes oozing out of the bottle and it happily jumps on the finger.  Oh Splat is more conservative.  It too has colorful hex glitter but the glitter is not as densely packed as It's A Trap - Eze.  Additionally, Oh Splat has a creamier solid white base.  It's A Trap - Eze base actually looks blue from some angles and gray from others; it definitely not solid white.

In conclusion I'm not a __________ but I prefer the more conservative polish.  Oh Splat! has the potential to be a classic.  Nice creamy white base.  Just the right amount of colorful hex glitter that takes it's position on the finger nail in the perfect spot.  It is not too densely packed so you can actually appreciate the beauty of the glitter.  It's A Trap - Eze! is really pretty but you can absolutely tell that it is ready to take the stage in a Cirque du Soleil show.

What do you think?  Can you see the similarities? Which one is your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by :)

  1. I'm with you, I like O Splat the best! The base looks more milky to me, which makes the glitters stand out a bit more.

Visiting from The Nail Files linkup:-)

  3. In comparison....Splat takes the cake! CG looks more like it has a watered down base...I like Splat's white base so much better. But...they are both pretty. One thing CG has in it's favor is that it is MUCH more affordable.
