Today I have a budding romance with some puke for you lol.  China Glaze Budding Romance and KB Shimmer Clown Puke.  I absolutely had to have this China Glaze polish when the Avant Garden Collection came out.  Funny thing is once I got it, it took me forever to swatch it.  Then when I swatched it, it did that weird bubbling thing you can see an example here .  I don't know what causes the polish to behave that way.  I follow the same steps that I do with all other mani's but it bubbles.  If you know the cause of this please let me know.  Since the polish bubbled I decided to throw my favorite glitter of all time on top, KB Shimmer Clown Puke.

I just love the mani I have for you today.  The colors work great together.  I used Square Hue Blond Ale, China Glaze Surreal Appeal, and Wet N Wild Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Polish Days - The Number 5

I am here with May's Polish Days Mani.  The Theme this month is The number 5.  How odd right; I know!  But I must say Polly Polish did a wonderful job at guiding the thought process.

Now, the number 5 is very significant to me and it happens to be my favorite number.  

See, I'm in a national public service sorority and my line number is 5.  I could have based a mani off of that because it makes sense right?  Exactly, that wouldn't make sense to many people therefore I did not want a lack of understanding behind the mani to interfere with the beauty of it.  

After much thought I decided to create 5 mani's in 1.  I used 5 different looks, 5 different mani's and made it 1.  Okay, okay, I have talked long enough.  On to the mani(s).  Heads up, this is very picture heavy (I mean it is 5 mani's in 1).

Today I have some purple thunder for you.  LOL ok, I don't know where that came from.  That was just my creative mind speaking.  The glitter in this mani looks like a thunder storm developing in the sky.  You still don't see it?  Ok then, lets move on ;) .   I did a half moon mani with Butter London Brummie and China Glaze Ray-Diant.  

Polish Days - 7 Deadly Sins: LUST

Thanks to http://www.pollypolish.com/ I am able to participate in my very first polish days.  I am absolutely thrilled and I am in love with the Theme, 7 Deadly Sins! 

The 7 Deadly Sins are: Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, and Pride.  Now, despite being left-handed I'm not very artistic.  I can't draw and I'm miserably terrible at nail art!  I still however, have an addiction love for nail polish.  I love trying out the latest colors, collections, and brands (Indie polish lover).  I get a deep fulfillment out of trying different combinations (polishes and toppers) and sometimes my mani is a flop (I have posted some of those) and other times the heavens open, harps play, and Angels sing.  When that happens My Smitten's, I literally LUST over my nails!  The below mani is a prime example of my sinful LUST!  The combinations of this mani turned out beautifully; if I must say so myself.  Funny thing is, I detest red polishes.  Hilarious, I know.  I never buy reds; sometimes when I'm purchasing a collection I will omit the purchase of the red if there is one.  This mani completely captured me and I drooled lusted over it from start to finish.  When it chipped I even considered repairing it and wearing it even longer than I wear any mani.  So without further ado I present to you

This week at Subliminally Smitten I will be throwing it back to some of my favorite early posts as a new baby blogger.  I am still a fairly new blogger but since the birth of my blog in September of this year, I have built amazing blog relationships, gotten comfortable as a blogger, and have an amazing group of Smitten's (followers).

I have soooo many favorites (duh, it's all my work) so the way I chose the throwbacks for this week is I chose the post that had less than 10 views (that is so horrible but again new blogger here).  I am really excited about sharing these throwbacks this week because I had some really good polish combo that went unnoticed.  I really hope you enjoy this week as much as I am going to enjoy resharing.  

I hope you have a wonderful holiday with family and friends.  Please travel safely and please don't drink and drive :)

 Hello my Smitten's, Today I have my very first Square Hue Monthly Subscription Box.  In my own words, Square Hue is a monthly nail polish subscription box.  Its regular retail price is $21 per month.  I got it at a Christmas special price of $14.99 for the life of my subscription.  The polishes are 3 free and Camphor free.  The bottles are huge at .50 oz.  In comparison to Julep I was already impressed at the amount of polish you get in each bottle and the Christmas special made it cheaper than Julep.

I wasn't impressed however, with Square Hue's packaging.  They could really learn a thing or two from Julep in that department.  Especially since Square Hue regularly retails at $21 which is more expensive than Julep.
