Wednesday's Smitten Mani:Pink Panther

Hello My Smitten's

I have a confession to make.  I love pink on my nails.  There I said it lol.  All of theses polishes were magnificent together.  Lush Lacquer Pink Panther is an amazing pink, white and black glitter topper.  The Layla Ceramic Polish with no name (don't you hate that?) is a gorgeous deep pink.  It is definitely in the running for my favorite deep pink polish.  Finally, the light pink Square Hue High School Crush completed the entire look.

Hump Day Mani

Grab the Button and Link up. What Mani got you to the Hump?
Subliminally Smitten

Fish anyone?  This is my second attempt at a fishtail accent nail (I haven't posted the 1st one yet.).  It isn't turning out the way I want, but this is cute so it will do :) .  I am trying to channel this fishtail mani tutorial I found on Lucy's Stash blog. Cute right!?

I used Butter London Victoriana as my base.  On the fishtail accent nails I used Knackered and Layla Metal Chrome.

Victoriana is such a beauty!  It was opaque in 1 coat. I used 2 coats for this mani (only because I am addicted to the simple act of applying polish).  Knackered on the other hand is very translucent.  I don't know how many coats it would take to be opaque since I was just using it for the fishtail accent.  Layla is an amazing chrome; one of the best.

You know what I realized when I got outside in the sun.  Knackered has a pretty purple shimmer.  I really have to start photographing in the sun. My apologies, you can't see the beauty of this polish :(

Overall, I think this turned out pretty good.  You like? Have you tried a fishtail mani yet?

Ombre-Esque

I did an Ombre for this Mani. Or Ombre-Esque because I am not quite sure I captured the Ombre Effect.
I used China Glaze For Audrey, Julep Claire, Layla Ocean Rush, Color Club Chelsea Girl, and Butter London Blagger IN THAT ORDER. Hehehe

I Love it.  But is it Ombre?
For Audrey has a ting of green in my opinion.  I wouldn't call it a Tiffiany's Blue but many people do.  This Layla was a birthday gift too from the same AWESOME co-worker-friend.

My hand look like they are saying ARRGH lol.

I don't know but I like it; How about you?

I'm So Shiny

My co-worker gave me this Layla polish for my birthday.  What an AWESOME Birthday gift.

I used Layla Mirror Effect's Metal Chrome and China Glaze's Ray-Diant.

LOVE!!!
What I learned about this Layla polish is that it is thick in a good kind of way.  It only requires one brush stroke.  If you go over an area more than once it streaks.  Then it looks Horrible!!! This was my first application so I did not know that.  Now I know, do not go over an area twice and you must let it dry for at least 3 mintues before you apply a second coat.  As for Ray-Diant, all glitter polishes are thick as fudge to me!!!

So let me tell you about this Mani.  I always admired the women who change their polish everyday, or change their polish to match an outfit, or who has a long day at work then go home and polish their nails.  I am none of those women but my nails were looking HORRID so i decided to polish after a 12 hour shift.  Are you kidding me? I was terribly tired.  My eyes kept shutting as I was polishing so I stood up for the duration of my Mani.  No joke, I stood up like they make you do in grade school when you are falling asleep lol.  I threw that Nubar top coat on my nails and collapsed into bed.  All Hail Nubar because my nails did not smudge!!!

Do you have any Layla polishes? Do you have any polish tricks or tips? What top coat do you use?
